Back in its heyday, Seattle's Jackson Street was the place to be at 2 AM on a Saturday night. Pay your admission and you could strut into an afterhours club to hear the likes of local legends Quincy Jones, Ernestine Anderson or even Ray Charles. This year, in tribute to those legends, we will be presenting a night of music rooted in Seattle including Solomon Douglas playing the music of Ray Charles! Also new for 2007 we have: - Head to Head DJ Battle - Watch your favorite DJs trade songs until one DJ is left standing ... your applause determines whose music takes it all.
- Chicago Steppin' - Due to popular demand, we'll be adding a progressive series of Chicago Steppin' classes. Come learn one of the direct descendants of vintage blues dancing
- Photo Contest - Take the best picture of this year's ECBF and post it to flickr (tag: ECBF2007) and you'll win a free pass to the 2008 ECBF
As always, there's no dance contests and no interruptions. Just 20 hours of classes and 24 hours of fantastic dancing. Show your ECBF Spirit and Win Free Admission! At the close of registration, one randomly drawn paid registrant who has the ECBF banner in their signature on Yehoodi.com, GargleBlasterBlues.com or LindyHopper.ca will win a refund of their registration fee. That's right, free admission to one of the country's best blues events! Here's the code that you'll need for most phpBB boards:
