Progressive Track For the first time ECBF will be offering a Progressive Track, with classes specifically designed to follow each other and build on the material from previous classes. The classes will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, allowing for late-comers to make sure they'll be up to speed. Since the classes do build on each other, we ask that you please remain in the Progressive Track for the duration of the instruction. If you are interested in taking the Progressive Track, please indicate so on your registration form. What makes ECBF's Progressive Track so incredible is that we are offering instruction from some of the most innovative, up and coming dance teachers from across the country. These teachers will be honing their craft in the Instructors Track during the week before the event to make sure that you get the best classes possible. And the best part? These top notch dancers and teachers will be in rotation with each of you to give you individualized instruction throughout the weekend.
Instructors Track The instructors track is a week-long intensive workshop for those who wish to take their teaching to the next level. Lead by Barry Douglas and Brenda CK, three days of masters level dance training culminate in a fourth in which you construct the curriculum you will teach to the progressive track. That's right, you'll have an opportunity to teach at the country's premiere blues event. And the couple with the highest performance will be invited back to be headliners for ECBF 2011. For more info about how to sign up, please use the Contact Us link. Leveling? Not this year. Think Themes! Unlike previous years, ECBF will have no leveling this year. Instead classes will be arranged around themes such as Connection & Partnership, Performance & Competition and Musicality & Improvisation. All of the classes will include instruction on technique, as you've come to expect from ECBF, but we wanted to give you more freedom this year to choose where you focus. Class Descriptions Class descriptions are TBA ... but they will be cool. Trust us they will be cool :D
